Creating is a way of seeing ourselves for who we are and for who we want to be…
A walk down St. Mary’s Lane in the fall
A weekend retreat led by Dr. Robbie Pinter & Dr. Margaret Benefield
Creating is a way of seeing ourselves for who we are and for who we want to be. Calling us to an authentic life, creativity opens us to a place where we can encounter the Divine. It also sharpens our perspective so that we can see the divine woven into our everyday living. Expressive art, whether polished or not, is one way we can embody the love we feel for God.
Practice art! Whether your heart’s longing is to write, draw, take pictures, or another mode of creativity, join us as we create individually and/or together.
This retreat invites you to embrace God’s gift of creativity in your life in ways that deepen and expand your spiritual life as it explores connections between the process of creating art and spirituality. It is designed for both experienced and first-time creatives.
Each day will offer time for Centering Prayer, Spiritual Reflection, and Witnessing one another’s creativity. These practices will ground our studio times set aside for making art. We will also engage in guided exercises and group discussions. Bring a journal and/or art supplies. A few supplies will be provided.
